Head Teacher : Janice Levens

Ms Levens joined as HT in January 2016.  A Modern Languages teacher to trade, she has worked in 4 secondary schools and had a leadership role in 3 of them.  Her first promoted post was in pastoral care and she went on to be a Principal Teacher curriculum, and then Depute Head.  She also did a secondment as an Education Officer prior to taking on the role of HT.
Ms Levens loves working at Paisley Grammar School and is looking forward to leading the school into the new building.

Depute Head Teacher - Mull - Nicola Hood

Mrs Hood joined Paisley Grammar School as DHT in May 2017.  Mrs Hood has been working in education for over 20 years and started her journey as a Teacher of Physical Education and Dance.  As someone who is passionate about working with young people and their families, she was delighted to be appointed Principal Teacher of Pastoral Care in 2 schools before her appointment to DHT in Paisley Grammar School.  Mrs Hood loves being Island Head for Mull and is always proud of the efforts and achievements of the young people she is privileged to work with.

Depute Head Teacher - Iona - Louise McCrory

Mrs McCrory joined as DHT in October 2016.  She has worked in Renfrewshire for 21 of her 22 years of teaching.  She is an ICT teacher and has been involved in Pupil Support for most of her teaching career.  Starting as an Assistant Principal Teacher of Guidance, then Principal Teacher of Pupil Support and now as Depute Head with responsibility for Pupil Support. 
She worked within the local authority as the Additional Support Needs Manager prior to coming to Paisley Grammar School as DHT.
Mrs McCrory loves working at Paisley Grammar School, she enjoys building positive relationships with all of the staff and young people.

Depute Head Teacher - Skye - Grant Crawford

Mr Crawford has 18 years’ experience in education and has worked in three schools, holding promoted positions in two of those. Beginning his career as a History and Modern Studies teacher, Mr Crawford became Principal Teacher of History and Modern Studies and Acting Depute Head Teacher, prior to taking on the role of Depute Head Teacher in Paisley Grammar School in 2014.
 
Mr Crawford is Island Head for Skye and loves the variety a day in Paisley Grammar brings. He is committed to ensuring that all young people in Paisley Grammar School achieve their full potential.

 Acting Depute Head Teacher - Gillian Glover
​

Mrs Glover joined Paisley Grammar School as Principal Teacher of Modern Languages in 2017.  Prior to arriving in Renfrewshire, she had worked for 10 years as a classroom teacher of French, German and Spanish.  In 2015 she took on the role of Confucius Coordinator for Stirling Council, supporting the development of Mandarin language and culture across the authority.  

​Mrs Glover has recently joined the Senior Leadership team in the school and is looking forward to working with a wide range of staff, pupils, parents, and partners to support the development of our pupil equity focussed projects.   



Education Support Manager - Mark Ruddy

Mr Ruddy joined Paisley Grammar School as Education Support Manager in January 2016.   He has 22 years’ experience working in Education across Pre 5 , Primary and Secondary school establishments and has extensive experience in finance, resource management and administration.
​
He loves working with the young people and staff of Paisley Grammar School.  He also enjoys working with partner organisations  and the wider school community to help our young people achieve their full potential in a safe and caring school environment.
