Junior Awards Scheme for Schools (JASS)
During session 2017 – 18 each S1 pupil in Paisley Grammar School will have the opportunity to participate in and work towards the Junior Award Scheme for Schools (JASS) Silver Award.
This is the second year the award will be provided within the Broad General Education and one we feel will enhance the skills of our young people.
JASS is a structured accredited learning programme. The programme is flexible and can be tailored to the interests and abilities of individuals.
The award is progressive, through Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
Each level requires four sections to be completed: My Interests (developing an interest or learning a new skill); Get Active, Stay Active (taking part in sport and physical activity); Me and My World (contributing to the local community); Adventure (outdoor activity and learning, including team work and problem solving).
During Session 2016 – 17 all S1 pupils will work towards the Silver Award.
