School Uniform

Picture

Please view our uniform leaflet here ------>

As you are aware, we have agreed a dress code with the school community which is our school uniform.  The school community felt that this was a way of improving security and a way of saving money on alternative fashion clothes for school. We also feel that uniform makes us ready to learn and that when you dress smart you feel smart.  School uniform also prepares us for future jobs, many of which require specific items of clothing to be worn. We would therefore ask for your continuing support in ensuring that our dress code is adhered to.

The dress code for Paisley Grammar School is as follows:

Navy blue blazer with school badge
Black V-necked pullover or V-necked sweatshirt with school badge
White or light blue blouse or shirt
School tie
Black skirt
Black tailored trousers
Black shoes

The following items of clothing are unsuitable for school wear:

Denim jeans or jacket
Leather skirts

Track suits / joggers
Baseball caps
Football colours
Extremes of fashion

We strongly recommend the wearing of black shoes as opposed to trainers as our experience tells us that they will last longer and cost less.  However, given the current fashion for trainers, if this is a preferred option, they should be black and free from any white markings, stripes, etc.

We know that there are times when it can be difficult for families and we would like to support you with ensuring your young person has access to school uniform, if you would like our support then please click on the link below.  This is a confidential service that allows you to contact us and we will help with uniform items.

It is the policy of both the Scottish Executive and Renfrewshire Council Lifelong Learning and Work to strongly encourage the wearing of school uniform as determined by the Headteacher of the school in conjunction with the School Board and our Parents.
