Interdisciplinary Learning

Interdisciplinary Learning is a vital part of the new Curriculum for Excellence  (CfE). It uses links across different subjects to give pupils a deeper understanding and to allow them to apply their skills in new ways. This lets pupils make connections between different areas of study.Throughout S1 and S2 pupils will be given various opportunities to take part in interdisciplinary learning projects, and will be made aware of how their learning links up. The first Interdisciplinary learning project for S1 will run throughout November and centres on the theme of refugees. This will involve a number of departments, across the school, teaching pupils a wide range of knowledge and skills which will all link into the refugee theme.
