Camera & Video Phones

Dear Parent
Many of you have seen the recent press coverage concerning the above. As a result, I have asked register teachers to remind pupils of the restrictions to their use in school and wish to let you know what has been communicated.
1 - all mobile phones should be turned off and kept out of sight during the school day.
2 - recording of any member of staff or any pupil is not permissible at any time within the school buildings or grounds, at Kelburne, on school transport or any school excursion or trip.
3 - mobile phones will be confiscated if they are used or visible to members of staff. Year heads will return phones to pupils or parents, dependant on circumstances.
4 - any recordings of pupils or staff will require to be deleted from phones before they are returned to pupils/parents.
5 - all incidents of inappropriate use will be recorded. Disciplinary procedures will be followed, as appropriate.
Should you wish to discuss any of the above please contact me at the school.

Yours sincerely

Head Teacher
